Perfect Game Elite 16 Scouting Showcase
Denver, Colorado
May 11-12, 2024

DENVER, CO-  Although the storms rolled in on Sunday, there was plenty of great softball to be played on Saturday at the Elite 16 Scouting Showcase.  Below we highlight some of the athletes who stood out to our scouts at the 16U division!

Jaleesa Martinez
(2026 Arvada, CO.) from the Colorado TNT 16B did a great job showing her hustle more than once on the day. She showed her speed down the basepath on a dropped 3rd strike, being called safe and then later stealing bases showing off her superb baserunning skills. Her footwork was also shown off when on defense while playing 3rd as she charged balls and showed some nice drop step work. She has a strong, accurate arm and had a few putouts on the day.

Halie Gippe (2026 Firestone, CO.) from the Elite-X Bandits 16A - Hoffman had a great day at the plate hitting a long homerun ball over the rightfield fence to go along with multiple other hits on the day. She plays shortstop for the Bandits and has a great set of hands as well as a very strong accurate are and phenomenal footwork. She was a great communicator on the field and positively showed up for her teammates.

Brealea Stendel (2026 Fort Lupton, CO.) from the Hype 16B - Watts-DeShazer Does a great job behind the plate helping her pitchers out with excellent framing skills. She has a strong arm and showed that off today when catching girls stealing on more than one occasion. She also stood strong behind the plate when there was a great play at home where Brealea stayed strong and put on the tag against one of the opposing teams girls who was attempting to score. She also showed great leadership and was vocal in leading her team on the field while also staying positive with her pitcher.

Larrissa Arvizo (2026 Thornton, CO.) from the Colorado Hype 16B - Vigil showed her stuff today playing both short stop and 2nd base. She has a amazing set of soft hands and a very accurate, strong arm with quick feet to compliment her infield work. Her leadership was standout on the fields as she communicated with both the infield and outfield all day. She was also very present at the plate with a powerful swing and great bat speed. She showed that in a crucial moment hitting a line drive shot to center field scoring a must have RBI.

Kenzie Braddy (2028 Severance, CO.) from the Fort Collins Stars 16B - Kottwitz had a solid performance on the mound today as a young right-handed pitcher she showed great poise and stayed consistent around the plate. She currently has an arsenal of 4 consistent pitches. Those being her fast, drop, rise and change. She will be a up and coming start to keep an eye on as she grows and develops.

Isobell Kerckaert (2025 Buffalo, WY) from the Wyoming Pride 16B - Hatch did a phenomenal job at 1st base today with having to dig a few balls out of the dirt as well as demonstrating her aggressiveness with the backdoor pick at 2nd base. She also showed her arm strength with a couple strong throws across the field to 3rd that were on the money. As a young player she proves to be very promising.

Taylor Morgan (2027 Cheyenne, WY.) from the Colorado Royals 16B - Loya did an outstanding job for her team today. She is a short stop/pitcher who had an amazing outing on the rubber this afternoon. She carries a fast ball, change-up, curve ball, screw ball, and a rise ball in her pitching repertoire. She threw all of those pitches very well as she faced 3-5 batters per inning, kept the hits at bay and only allowed 1 run.

Diana Garcia (2025 Aurora, CO.) from the Slammers 16B - MCM was awesome in the outfield today. She tracks the ball very well and has great speed along with the ability to cover a lot of ground. She gets herself set under the ball as well as makes great catches on the move. She has a great arm; she is hitting cuts and make spot on throws to the bags. She did well at the plate with a few long hard-hit balls and showed her speed around the bases as well.

Emily Carver (2025 Cortez, CO.) from the Slammers 16B - MCM was spectacular behind the plate today. She is a top notch blocker, has a great glove framing the ball and her arm was 2nd to none as she had throw down times of 2.04 – 2.07 seconds. She did an awesome job of holding runners on the bases. She has great bat speed and is powerful at the plate as well.
